A Walk To Solomons Temple
This Is Just One Of The Wonderful Walks Possible In Buxton.
The sun was shining down upon Buxton yesterday so Storme (The Handsome Husky) and I went out for a walk for three hours.
There are many routes to this Folly, we went up through a cutting on Green Lane which takes you along some walled fields onto the pathway above Pooles Cavern.
On the trail up to Solomon's Temple there are wood carvings, sculptors and plaques with information on the habitat and some History of the area. Storme was keen to get to the Temple so we did not dwell too long on those, but each time we go up there I try to stop and read up or admire.
There are lots of different routes to take up to Solomon, some of which take you on different walks to other places. Will share them with you over the coming months.
As you get to the top of the trail, there is a seat for you to rest before climbing over the Stile into the vast field that holds the Temple at the peak. Again many routes to the building, so this walk is never dull.
As the schools are on Holiday this week, I could not take as many photos as I would like, as there were many families up there enjoy this beautiful area. So above a taster of the attraction, Storme and I will be Back later in the month with another route up there.
